DESCRIPTION
The BBVA Foundation Awards for Biodiversity Conservation are an expression of the BBVA Group’s social responsibility engagement with protecting the environment. Their goal is to publicly recognize the work done by conservationist organizations, institutions and agencies in carrying forward environmental conservation policies and projects, and the efforts of communication professionals who have placed their abilities at the service of protecting our natural heritage. Honors, as such, go to two complementary sets of activities:
1. Projects, policies, and/or actions that contribute outstandingly to the conservation and protection of habits, species or ecosystems
2. Dissemination of environmental knowledge and raising of social awareness around the value of conserving the natural environment.
