The BBVA Foundation Awards for Biodiversity Conservation seek to recognize and reward the work done by conservationist organizations, institutions and agencies in carrying forward environmental conservation policies and projects, and the efforts of communication professionals who have placed their abilities at the service of protecting our natural heritage.
Awards are organized into three categories:
- Biodiversity Conservation Projects in Spain. A single award comprising 250,000 euros, a diploma and a commemorative artwork.
- Biodiversity Conservation Projects Worldwide. A single award comprising 250,000 euros, a diploma and a commemorative artwork.
- Knowledge Dissemination and Communication in Biodiversity Conservation in Spain. A single award comprising 80,000 euros, a diploma and a commemorative artwork
