A study looking at the interrelations between each component of the Spanish wood chain, companies’ awareness of the environmental issues at stake, the influence of certain forestry policies on sector operations, supply and demand patterns for different products, and the accounting treatment of timber output flows in internal trade figures.

DESCRIPTION

These matters are analysed from both an aggregate and a regional standpoint. Among the methodologies used are layered sampling and analysis of principal and/or factorial components, followed at a second stage by cluster and discriminatory analyses. Finally, efficiency is measured by the non parametric technique of DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis).
